Card · Beta branchAbundance
What Abundance does in Slay the Spire 2, how Dowsing becomes it, and which game branch currently contains it.
Quick answer
Abundance is an Ancient colorless Skill that lets you choose one of three upgraded Powers, put one into your hand, and play it for 0 Energy that turn. Abundance then Exhausts. The card itself costs 1 Energy, or 0 when upgraded in Beta v0.110.0. It is obtained when Dowsing transforms after you enter five additional unknown rooms and remains beta-branch content as of this check.

How it works
Playing Abundance presents three upgraded Powers. You choose one, add it to your hand, and can play it for free during the current turn. The Abundance card then Exhausts.
The generated Power is free only for the turn in which Abundance creates it. Because the three choices are random, the card is best treated as flexible access to a temporary Power rather than a reliable way to find one specific build piece.
How to get it
Start with the Dowsing quest card, then enter five more unknown rooms marked with a question mark. Dowsing transforms into Abundance when that requirement is complete.
What changed in Beta v0.110.0
Mega Crit introduced Dowsing and Abundance in Beta v0.109.0, then buffed Abundance in v0.110.0. It now always creates upgraded Powers; upgrading Abundance itself lowers its Energy cost by 1 instead of changing the generated cards.
This distinction matters when reading older guides. Advice written for v0.109.0 may describe the base card as offering unupgraded Powers, while v0.110.0 offers upgraded Powers from both versions of Abundance.
When the upgrade matters
Upgrading Abundance changes the setup cost from 1 Energy to 0. That makes it easier to spend the rest of the turn playing the generated Power and still have Energy left for Block or damage.
The upgrade does not remove the randomness of the three offers. If your deck needs one exact Power to function, Abundance is still a contingency tool rather than a guaranteed tutor.
