Regent Card-Creation Guide: Pile Value Versus Hand Space

Card creation becomes an engine when the generated cards pay for their hand and Energy cost. Start with a reliable creator and a creation payoff; then check whether the next fight has room for random value without losing stable Block or damage.

The player question

What does Regent's card-creation engine need before it is a real plan?

The job

What this package is trying to solve

Make cards on purpose and convert the creation count into Block, Strength and a Supermassive finish. The package is useful only when it answers the fight in front of you; it is not a shopping list that overrides the map, enemy intent, or the cards actually offered.

01

Play Pillar, Arsenal, or another payoff before the large creation turn.

02

Clear hand space before creating Debris or Colorless cards.

03

Treat Regalite's first trigger as a useful bonus, not the whole reason to create cards.

04

Stop adding creators when the deck cannot spend what they make.

Cards and relics to recognize

Core cards

Pillar of Creation · Crash Landing · Spectrum Shift · Quasar · Regalite

These are the cards that make the package's central action possible.

Support cards

Collision Course · Supermassive · Arsenal · Bulwark · Big Bang

These help the package survive, draw, scale, or bridge into the next fight.

Relics

Regalite · Mummified Hand · Fencing Manual · Bag of Preparation

Relics can change the value of the package, but do not force a plan that cannot solve the next combat.
How a useful turn looks: Put Pillar or Arsenal in play before creating Debris and Colorless cards. Clear hand space before Crash Landing, and create at least once each Beta turn to collect Regalite's first trigger.

Commit condition

When should you take more of this?

✓

A creation payoff and at least two dependable creators are available.

✓

The hand can accept the generated cards without hiding the core defense.

✓

The generated-card quality is high enough for the current combat, not only for a perfect late run.

Protect the run

When should you stop forcing it?

Core failure mode: Creating more cards than the hand can use. Debris and random Colorless options can crowd out the stable Block and damage the deck still needs.

↗

Random cards are crowding out the cards the deck already needs.

↗

Creation cards are being played without a payoff.

↗

The next fight needs stable output and the engine adds variance instead.
